Tesla's Supplier Industrialization TLA (Top Level Assembly - Electronics) team is seeking a Supplier Industrialization Engineer specializing in camera cleaning systems. This role focuses on the end-to-end product lifecycle management in the supply chain, from early design quality assessments with internal teams to industrialization and quality control with suppliers. You will develop innovative camera cleaning solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and travel to supplier locations globally to ensure quality, scalability, and performance.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct and implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) for camera cleaning products, optimize design solutions to achieve robust performance
  • Perform design risk assessments using mechanical/fluid dynamic simulations, statistical methods, and DFSS to improve performance, efficiency, and reliability
  • Develop optical-safe cleaning methods, including fluid (wet) and mechanical (dry) cleaning, or combined approaches, and explore innovative cleaning technologies for automated, integrated exterior camera cleaning systems
  • Analyze material compatibility and fluid dynamics to select appropriate cleaning agents, surfaces, and system components
  • Develop/validate cleaning protocols and troubleshoot process inefficiencies via root-cause analysis
  • Optimize design solutions in early phases for superior performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate with Tesla's Design, Image Quality, Testing, Reliability, and Supplier teams to define performance specifications and key supplier metrics
  • Manage supplier performance in quality, on-time delivery, and production capacity, driving continuous improvements in operations, scalability, cost, and quality
  • Lead supplier audits for camera modules and lenses to verify compliance with performance, delivery, and reliability standards
  • Oversee supplier manufacturing process development, launch readiness for new products, and design changes, ensuring seamless integration
