We are seeking an Cyber Security Specialist 4 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, perimeter defense, Command and Control systems, and IT infrastructure across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities
- Perform system builds for a variety of system environments including Windows Server and workstation and Redhat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) as well as virtual environments including VMWare, Hyper-V, Nutanix, and Azure Local
- Install and configure applications that utilize IIS and SQL Server
- Install and configure network environments consisting of Cisco and/or Juniper Layer 2/ Layer 3 switches, Palo Alto Cisco firewalls, load balancers, etc.
- Perform database tuning and optimization for SQL Server
- Develop playbooks for deployment of infrastructure using Ansible and/or Terraform
- Develop complex PowerShell scripts for automation of system functions
- Utilize a wide variety of Cybersecurity tools for system Assessment and Authorizations, including, but not limited to: Evaluate STIG, eMASSter, Vulnerator, ACAS / TenableSC, STIG Viewer, SCAP Compliance Checker, eMASS, Xacta / Xacta 360.
- Develop answer files for Evaluate STIG
- Implement DISA STIGs on a wide variety of environments using Group Policy Objects, Ansible, PowerShell, and SQL scripts
- Utilize / implement vendor hardening guides for a wide variety of applications and IoT devices
- Perform system updates using WSUS, MECM, PowerShell scripts, Yum, and manual patches
- Provide guidance to system administrators for implementing Cybersecurity best practices, STIG compliance, etc.
- Support system designs by developing secure system architectures, assisting with product selection, ensuring cyber compliance, selecting solutions for NIST 800-53 controls fulfillment, etc.
- Support production environment Cyber compliance with scans, patching, remediation, STIG updates, Active Directory administration, etc.
- Support secure Azure and AWS deployments including use of automated deployment tools, Entra ID, Azure Local, Sentinel, Azure Arc, etc.
- Develop technical documentation for RMF efforts to include Boundary Diagrams, HW/SW lists, PPSM documents, POA&Ms, etc.
- Develop procedural documentation and control family plans for the NIST control families
- Stay abreast of security trends and technologies
- Mentor junior Cybersecurity personnel
- May act as a subject matter expert, requiring formal and independent learning and the ability to translate this expertise into recommendations in specific circumstances.
- Communicate orally with customers and groups on technical security related issues.
- Write reports to document mission events, research findings, procedures, and other technical security related issues.
Qualifications
Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ACTIVE TS/SCI w/ POLY is REQUIRED
Position / Candidate Requirements
- High School Diploma with 12+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of electronic security systems or
- Associates with 10+ years of experience or
- Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years experience or
- Master's Degree with 5+ years experience
- System administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensions
- Vendor certifications for electronic systems preferred
- Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional nights and weekends
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS
