We are looking for a Kitchen Supervisor who is passionate about food service, leadership, and helping others develop valuable job skills through our Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) program.
What You'll Do
As a Kitchen Supervisor, you'll oversee kitchen operations, mentor program participants in work therapy, and ensure nutritious, high-quality meals are prepared daily. Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and schedule kitchen staff and assistants
Train and mentor program participants in food service and kitchen safety
Plan and prepare balanced, cost-effective menus
Order and maintain food and supply inventory
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
Support the mission of The Salvation Army by fostering a positive, learning-focused kitchen environment

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited food service program (or equivalent experience)
At least 1 year of institutional or large-scale cooking experience
Supervisory or management experience required
Food safety certification (preferred)
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Work Environment
Kitchen setting with moderate noise level
Fast-paced, hands-on atmosphere
Some flexibility in schedule required
