We have a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician III position open. Working Sun. - Thur. 10pm - 6am. JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY: The Level 3 Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing troubleshooting, installation, equipment repairs, continuous improvement and preventative / daily maintenance of production and facility equipment. This position applies mechanical theory and related knowledge to test and modify manufacturing machinery and equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promotes job safety, and is an active participant in the development of plant safety goals, policies and procedures
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
- Inspect, set-up and adjust machine rolls; embossing and die rolls
- Accurately troubleshoot common mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues
- Check and review work orders and complete tasks on a priority basis
- Demonstrate high levels of good housekeeping practices
- Participate in the management and maintenance of the parts inventory system, including research to determine parts required
- Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Respond to all breakdowns quickly and perform repairs correctly while performing quality work
- Develop process capability changes to improve quality, reduce scrap and increase productivity
- Perform basic electrical preventative maintenance checks
- Operate forklift, aerial lift, tow motor, tractors, and other facility vehicles safely
- Participate in cross-functional project groups
