This is a full time, 14-week hybrid OR onsite summer internship that will occur during one of the below time frames:

  • May 4 - August 7, 2026
  • May 11 - August 14, 2026
  • May 18 - August 21, 2026

Open to hiring candidates that reside anywhere near our three primary regions:

  • West (Grand Rapids)
  • East (Southfield)
  • South (St. Joseph)

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Community Connect team, supporting one of the largest Epic Community Connect programs in the country. This role plays a critical part in enhancing digital services for over 500 practices and 337 contracts across Corewell Health's regions.

Essential Functions
  • Practice Onboarding & Implementation
    • Coordinate new clinic implementations, including kickoffs, infrastructure builds, and go-lives.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned practices, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and training schedules.
    • Collaborate with Epic analysts, trainers, and operational leaders to support successful transitions.
  • Contract & Billing Oversight
    • Manage contract workflows using Quantum and Workday, including invoice generation, cost modeling, and fee schedule updates.
    • Track and reconcile billing line items (e.g., Twilio, Epic modules), ensuring accuracy and compliance with regional standards.
    • Support contract migration to unified Epic donation agreements and maintain documentation for audit readiness.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting
    • Analyze practice-level financial performance, identify trends, and recommend adjustments to improve cost efficiency.
    • Prepare and submit EIB templates for invoicing, ensuring alignment with variable and static cost structures.
    • Partner with accounting and legal teams to resolve discrepancies and support collections efforts.
  • Operational Support & Communication
    • Respond to ServiceNow tickets related to billing, security, and technical access.
    • Maintain Salesforce records for provider and practice data, ensuring data integrity across systems.
    • Participate in governance meetings, townhalls, and coalition forums to represent practice needs and share updates.
  • Process Improvement & Standard Work
    • Contribute to the development and refinement of standard work documents, including provider add workflows and offboarding protocols.
    • Support initiatives such as Workday cleanup, gap closure surveys, and AI tool adoption.
Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Currently enrolled in a university pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in area of accountability.
    • May also be a recent graduate from an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program.
