Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite for our client in Atlanta, GA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The ITC Engineer is responsible for the execution, installation and T&C activities related to a railway signalling subsystem (IXL, ATC, DCS) up to its successful completion and handover to customer or warranty teams.
  • He/She will prepare and execute test and commissioning activities for signalling systems on field, in support to one or several projects.
  • Conducts deep troubleshooting of wayside/railway systems and equipment to identify root causes of failures and integration issues and identify/define containment and sustainable solutions with engineering's support.
  • Follows all EHS policies and protocols during execution of activities.
  • Reports all test and field work in a timely manner.
  • Ensures the identification of non-conformities, defects, and workmanship issues, and to record and document these in client's databases.
  • Ensures this data is shared with ITC and project management teams.
  • Assists Project ITC Lead with work planning, pre-work safety briefings, post work debriefs.
  • Supervise installation activities being executed in field.
  • Functions as a team leader directing technicians to execute assigned tasks.
  • Supervise EI (Electrical Installers) to ensure scope is delivered on time and to quality standards.
  • Execute FMIs on site per Engineering instructions.
  • Perform Post Installation Check Out (PICO) tests to verify functionality of systems and equipment are operating as per design.
  • Execute test, perform log analysis, and create test reports.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and ensuring defects are identified and corrections implemented.
  • Support V&V team and perform lab tests as per request.
  • Ensure test tools and equipment are calibrated and functional.
  • Provide daily reports of test and installation activities.
  • Provide reports through periodic KPIs.
  • Records Nonconformities, making the appropriate record on test sheets and reporting results to system validation.
  • Ensure tests are executed in terms of Quality, Cost and deadlines are met in compliance with client policies, local standards, and regulations.
  • Efficiency and proactivity during the execution of the T&C tests
  • Compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards
  • Quality of anticipation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Resilience, with an analytic way of thinking to solve complex system failures.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $$80 - $88K /year

Hours: 40 hrs / Week (Night shift 100% 8 hrs - Sun to Thursday Shift; 10pm - 6am)

Length: Temporary (6 months)

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or Embedded Systems Engineering.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as Test & Commissioning Engineer.

Preferred Skills:

  • Good knowledge of English language (read, written, spoken)
  • Railway and signalling knowledge.
  • Any other additional language
  • Previous Engineering, V&V, T&C or Maintenance for Railway Signalling
  • Team management skills
  • Flexibility and mobility, available for short or long mission in different locations and countries
  • Rigorous & team player
  • Customer satisfaction and results orientated.
  • 1Able to communicate in an open and clear manner with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to use new technologies and tools.
