Summary of the Job:

The Relationship Associate is responsible for being the 'customer concierge' for the business segment customers. The RA is the bridge between customer, RM, PA, Personal Bankers, and back-office operations. RAs own the deposit origination and maintenance functions (excluding analyzed accounts) for the business segment as well as process many loan functions including covenant management, payments, maintenance, and research. RAs work cross functionally often operating as subject matter experts in many areas.

About This Role:

1. Loan & Loan Origination

a. Utilizing the nCino workflow completion of the borrowing structure, loan team, loan details input

b. Understanding of and Loan Compliance completion of the HMDA and GMI form collection if applicable in nCino

c. Completing and collection the Smart Checklist Items such as 1-4 Family Reg B Appraisal Disclosure, Ben Owner obtained / confirmed, Ben Owner Signed Cert in FW, CIP Validation Form, Guarantor with California Address (if applicable), Populate Joint Intent Information (if applicable), RE - HMDA Reportable, Reg B (Joint Intent) Validation, Reg B Eligibility Questionnaire, Reg O - Compliance Review, Service Request Form

d. Move to credit

2. Upload necessary loan documents into FirstWork

3. Create closing packet if requested

4 Facilitate and assist loan closings with Processors, RM's and Title Companies as needed. May include notary services

5. Assist RM's with Waivers, Reliance Reviews, Service Request Form, as requested

a. RA completion requires the RM to review the form. RM is responsible for accuracy for data on all forms.

6. Obtain and review loan closing items including

a. Entity Docs

b. CAW

c. BFO

d. Insurance

e. UCC Name Verification

7. Post Close Monitoring

a. Upload necessary loan documents into FirstWork

b. Prepare loan for booking

c. Send originals for retention

d. Monitor and complete financial covenants

8. Financials - Tracking Updates that may include

a. I.E. Tax Returns

b. Financial Statements (Personal, Entity, Guarantor, etc.)

c. Cash Flow

d. Rent Roll

e. Broker Statements

9. Monitoring Items - Tracking Updates that may include

a. Waivers

b. Borrowing Base Certificates

c. A/R - A/P

d. Compliance Certificates

e. Inventory

10. Maintenance / Transaction Processing

a. Execute loan payments and advances for customers and conduct research

b. RM/Cost Center Updates

c. Construction/Equipment Draws

d. Generate and process reports that may include

1. Past Due Loan Payments

2. Matured Loan

3. Loans coming due

4. Portfolio reports

5. Covenant Reports

e. Upload necessary loan documents into FirstWork

f. Address updates

g. Statement request

h. Balance and Loan history

i.Online Banking

j. CAW/BFO updates outside of origination

k. Restraints

l. Invoice Processing (Not completed by all RAs)

m. Payoff Quotes

11. RM Support include but not limited to pipeline and covenant report conversation/review

12. Deposits & Deposit Origination

a. Checking, Savings, CD including uploading necessary documents into FirstWork as well as DocuSign

b. Maintenance / Transaction Processing

1. Process wires for customers

2. Generate and process NSF, OTP, Portfolio reports

3. RM/Cost Center Updates

4. Upload necessary loan documents into FirstWork

5. Research

6. Statement request

7. Balance Inquiries

8. Transfers

9. Address Changes

10. Title Changes

11. NAICS code updates

12. Check orders

13. Debit Card orders

14. Online banking

15. CAW/BFO updates outside of origination

16. Account cloTY sing

17. General maintenance

18. Fraud/Hard holds Pledges

19. Stop -Payments

20. Office Supply orders (Not completed by all RAs)

13. Problem Solving

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience (financial services, operations, client onboarding, or related field).

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external partners..

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance partner needs in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Customer-service orientation with a proactive approach to issue resolution.

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $46,679.00-$77,020.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment:

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. As part of our team, you'll experience the energy and relationship-building of face-to-face collaboration while still enjoying the flexibility of remote workdays. We provide the tools and technology to ensure seamless transitions between work environments, supporting your productivity wherever you are. Please note that work location is subject to change based on business needs.
