Position Summary
We're seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day physical operations of Expo's warehouses, logistics, and delivery departments. This role bridges leadership and execution-ensuring equipment, trucks, labor, and inventory move in sync to support seamless events.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings structure to complexity, and can balance big-picture process improvement with daily coordination across multiple divisions.

Reports To: CEO (with close collaboration with VP of Resource Management)
Direct Reports: Warehouse Supervisors, Dispatch Lead, Inventory Specialist, Delivery Team Leads

Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
Direct and coordinate daily warehouse, dispatch, and delivery operations across all divisions.
Ensure on-time setup and recovery of event equipment while maintaining company standards for safety and quality.
Allocate labor and equipment resources efficiently, adjusting schedules to meet project timelines and budget.
Monitor damaged or missing inventory and coordinate resolutions with the Inventory Specialist.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse environments in compliance with OSHA standards.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and evaluate warehouse and delivery staff to promote accountability, teamwork, and growth.
Oversee onboarding, skills training, and performance reviews for all operations-related employees.
Foster a safety-first culture and enforce company policies and procedures consistently.
Coordinate corrective action and coaching when performance or conduct issues arise.
Process Improvement
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and redundant processes-then implement lean-based solutions.
Standardize loading, prep, and dispatch procedures to improve accuracy and reduce downtime.
Partner with department leaders to design workflow systems that align with Expo's growth goals.
Cross-Department Collaboration
Work closely with Project Managers, Client Relations, and Division Heads to forecast labor and equipment needs.
Support major events and installations by overseeing logistics and on-site execution as needed.
Communicate effectively between departments to ensure clear expectations and accountability.
Administrative & Reporting
Track KPIs such as delivery accuracy, turnaround time, equipment utilization, and overtime efficiency.
Participate in executive and safety meetings; contribute operational insights and recommendations.
Approve scheduling, timecards, and inventory adjustments related to warehouse operations.

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or operations management-preferably in event rentals, production, or related industries.
Strong leadership and team-building skills; ability to lead by example.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Working knowledge of logistics software and inventory systems (Point of Rental experience preferred).
Valid driver's license with clean record; ability to operate company vehicles as needed.
Physical ability to assist with loading/unloading when required.
