Overview
Certara accelerates medicines using proprietary biosimulation software, technology, and services to transform traditional drug discovery and development. The Azure Cloud Architect - IT Infrastructure (Internal-Facing) at Certara plays a critical role in shaping and driving the company's cloud-first strategy by architecting secure, scalable, and highly available solutions within Microsoft Azure. This role is embedded within Certara's global IT organization and focuses exclusively on internal infrastructure systems that support our professional services, software engineering, and corporate operations. The Architect will serve as a strategic technical leader responsible for designing cloud-based platforms, guiding Azure governance and landing zone development, and facilitating the secure integration of cloud-native technologies into Certara's internal systems. This includes collaborating closely with infrastructure and development teams to evaluate existing environments, plan and execute cloud migrations, and implement best practices for performance, security, and cost optimization. As a key influencer in Certara's digital transformation, the individual will also lead initiatives involving Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and business continuity planning. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate and align architectural decisions with broader organizational goals. This is a hands-on, leadership role ideal for someone passionate about operational excellence, innovation in cloud technologies, and driving internal IT modernization at scale.
