The Position

Group Marketing Manager - Glucose and Coag

The Opportunity:

Our Group Marketing Manager is a high-impact leadership opportunity to own the marketing and product strategy for the Point-of-Care diagnostics portfolio, including Hospital Blood Glucose, Coagulation Monitoring, and Urinalysis. This role will lead a high-performing team to define, develop, and commercialize products that deliver superior value to patients and customers.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Group Marketing Manager you will lead a team and move beyond tactical execution to drive the strategic vision for the Point-of-Care business. Your primary focus will be on maximizing market share, achieving financial targets, and developing your team.

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Define and Drive Strategy: Provide strategic leadership for assigned market segments, developing comprehensive marketing and product development strategies that maximize sales and achieve market growth objectives.

  • Act as a Visionary: Develop and articulate a compelling, long-term vision for the Point-of-Care portfolio, identifying future market opportunities and translating them into actionable corporate short- and long-term goals.

  • Own the Commercialization Pipeline: Lead the development of marketing plans, go-to-market strategies, and product launch programs across the entire product lifecycle to create market demand and maximize sales.

  • Financial & Resource Management: Establish, manage, and execute the department's budget, forecasts, and all assigned resources to ensure department goals are achieved.

  • Market Intelligence: Lead and direct market research, competitive analysis, and Human Factors testing to gather and translate business, customer, and usability insights into product requirements and winning marketing strategies.

  • Product Lifecycle Ownership: Own or significantly support product lifecycle planning, developing production and marketing strategies to ensure effective product placement and long-range success.

Cross-Functional Influence & Team Management

  • Lead and Inspire: Directly manage and inspire a high-performing team of individual contributors, providing direction for daily actions and ensuring continuous professional development.

  • Stakeholder Management: Influence and lead key local and global stakeholders-including Product Development, Manufacturing, and Sales

  • Talent Management: Exercise full discretion over all employment decisions, including hiring, training, performance management, and coaching, to ensure the team is equipped to achieve strategic goals.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Serve as an active and engaged member of the Marketing Leadership Team, creating strong links with other functional areas to ensure effective issue resolution and objective achievement.

  • External Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with key external customers and individuals to inform strategy and drive business development.

Quality and Compliance

  • Quality Champion: Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system, ensuring all marketing deliverables (including product labeling and user documents) required for product commercialization and US launches meet quality objectives.

Who You Are:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, or related business or scientific field

  • You hold 5 years of progressive marketing experience or equivalent work experience

  • You hold 1 year of direct or indirect leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in customer segmentation, as well as product, environment, and value creation

  • Proven ability to motivate and influence in a positive manner

  • Proven record of multi-tasking and ability to handle a high-pressure environment with significant timeline pressures

  • Excellent leadership qualities, including motivating others, team building, and credibility

Location:

  • This position is based onsite in our Indianapolis campus

  • Relocation benefits are not provided for this role

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis is $132,200 - $245,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
