In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance for commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. The responsibilities will increase based on exposure to tasks, ability to develop troubleshooting skill set, and consistent and accurate completion of assignments. The HVAC equipment you will be servicing includes but is not limited to VRV and VRF systems, large and small rooftop units, split systems, chillers, and boilers.  Oversee and lead up to 10 HVAC TechnicianPerform Start Up and Commissioning: Verify functionality of new VRV systems and repair any malfunctioning equipment. Educate customers on proper use of equipment, maintenance schedule, and operating manualConduct Technician Training: Communicate your knowledge of VRV systems to other technicians and customers as neededDirect other technicians through hands-on demonstrations of all necessary steps to troubleshoot and repair equipmentEnsure timely and cost-effective start-up of maintenance contracts, and efficient and timely installation of jobs, providing maintenance according to contract requirements, and ensuring customer concerns/complaints are resolved in a timely mannerPerform ongoing review of contracts/projects, implementing corrective actions to ensure costs are consistent with financial plans. Responsible for negotiating subcontract agreements as required and serving as a primary contactUtilize the Service Management System and contract review process to establish an effective work plan which maximizes the capabilities of each team member and provide prompt customer service and ensure that requirements and commitments of each contract are metPerform and/or provide expert counsel on scheduled, preventive maintenance on any equipment/system under contract agreement by inspecting and checking equipment to ensure it is in satisfactory working orderRespond to or assist other Service Technicians responding to emergency service calls to keep system downtime to a minimum. Provide counsel, coaching and leadership and/or analyze, troubleshoot, repair, and restore equipment/systems to full operation and recommend revisions/replacements/upgrades when necessary for effectiveness or in cases of obsolescenceSupport Sales by assisting with job site surveys, reviewing estimates for accuracy, participating in sales promotion programs, and providing technical training and guidance. Participates in the Estimate Review Process as requiredContribute to accident and illness prevention by ensuring that safe work practices are implemented, and that the work environment is safe; provide safety training as required by OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and proceduresProvide timely, proactive feedback (positive or negative), in order to reinforce positive results or reduce potential callbacks due to similar incidentsActively participate in performance evaluations of Service technicians, providing feedback on technical skills, attitude, thoroughness, teamwork and developmental suggestions for techniciansKeeps current and provides training on all Daikin Applied products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service and repairRegular local travel requirements with some overnight travel What's in it for you:

 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experienceHigh School Diploma or GEDTechnical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experienceValid Driver's License and acceptable driving recordRotational Emergency Call Support as requiredRequired license(s) and/or training card as required by local law districtEPA approved Universal Technician Certification required, as necessaryWork visa sponsorship is not available for this position Preferred Qualifications:
