The Quality Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring product quality, process stability, compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME), and customer satisfaction by implementing robust quality control and continuous improvement initiatives across the compressor manufacturing line.  Review design documentation for compliance with UL and ISO9001 requirementsInvestigate customer/warranty quality concernsDocument data obtained during quality assurance reviews and use quality assurance toolsDevelop and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and quality checklists for key componentsLead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions using tools like 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone diagramsMonitor and analyze process capability (Cp, Cp) and implement controls to reduce variationCollaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supplier teams to identify and resolve quality issuesDrive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Six Sigma) to improve product quality and process efficiencySupport new product introductions (NPI) and engineering changes from a quality standpointParticipate in Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (SFMA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) processesMaintain and improve Quality Management Systems (QMS) documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 or industry-specific standardsUse statistical methos and software (e.g., Minitab, Excel) to analyze quality data and drive decision-makingReport key quality metrics (defect rates, scrap, rework, cost of poor quality, etc.) and provide insights to management What's in it for you:

 Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related technical field1-3 years of experience in quality engineering in a mechanical manufacturing environment (compressors, HVACR, turbines, etc.)Hands-on experience with precision machining, assembly, and balancing processes related to rotating equipmentStrong knowledge of GD&T, metrology tools, (CMM, surface profilometers), and non-destructive testing (NDT)Familiarity with ISO 9001, ASME codes, and industry-specific compliance standardsProficiency in using quality tools (FMEA, SPC, Control Charts, 8D, Pareto, etc.)Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications: 
 Quality certificationExperience in centrifugal compressor development and manufacturing or high-speed turbomachineryKnowledge of ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and QMS platformsExperience within HVACR industry or environments Benefits:

 The typical salary for this position ranges from $62,00-$97,600 in Virginia. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
