Senior Network Engineer

Overview

Design, maintain, and implement Navy Federal's computer networks. Configure and maintain network hardware and software, monitor network performance, and troubleshoot network issues. Ensures network functionality and reliability and the overall efficiency and effectiveness of network operations. Growing an understanding of business needs and objectives. Solve a range of mostly straightforward problems with some increased scope and complexity. Developing professional with basic skill set and proficiency with procedures and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of advanced network systems tailored to complex business needs.
• Expertly configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware and software ensuring optimal performance.
• Continuously improve network efficiency and reliability based on performance monitoring metrics.
• Establish and enforce network security protocols to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
• Mentor team members, providing guidance on resolving network issues and develop sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects, enhancing network capabilities with other systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in network engineering
• Complete knowledge and understanding of business area/specialization
• Advanced knowledge of network hardware, software, and security protocols.
• Advanced skill in configuring and maintaining network systems.
• Experience in designing and troubleshooting network systems.
• Experience with network security protocols and performance optimization.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate independently.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
