Overview

The Senior Principal, Pursuits and Growth, leads a nationwide effort to elevate proposals and positioning across MasTec's infrastructure sector. This role ensures decentralized proposal teams are supported, aligned, and consistently using the company's best practices, while also coordinating strategic initiatives to improve visibility and client engagement ahead of market entry for major pursuits. This individual will work directly with segment executives and business development leads to understand customers, initiatives and expectations.

Responsibilities

    Provide leadership and insight into pursuit capture strategies and leverage capabilities across MasTec service lines to win more work.
  • Develop tools, templates, and playbooks to standardize pursuit best practices.
  • Review and drive messaging for major proposals to ensure alignment with win strategies and responsiveness to client needs and wants.
  • Stay informed of competitor intelligence and emerging market trends.
  • Strengthen external positioning across proposals, qualifications, digital platforms, and client-facing materials.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on pursuit priorities, resource allocation, and competitive positioning.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and shared accountability for winning work.
  • Other duties as requested by the Vice President of Pursuits and Business Development.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an associated field, or commensurate experience.
  • 15+ years of experience leading pursuits, proposal teams, and related growth initiatives in the AEC industry.
  • 10+ years of experience serving as a trusted advisor to operational leadership in the areas of market enablement and proposal development.
  • Strong understanding of pursuit strategy, capture planning, proposal best practices, and business development.
  • Proven leadership, collaboration, and change management skills.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Proven interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills, including leading and speaking in large meetings.
  • Excellent organizational and team leadership skills.
  • Experience in organizational training, development, and change management a plus.
