Schedule: Typically Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm, times may be adjusted based on business needs. Some weekend work may be required to meet business needs.

Job Overview

The Manager Manufacturing Shift (QA) will provide training, coaching, and guidance to functional front-line leaders and/or hourly associates on one or multiple shifts; ensure the proper execution of the daily work activities that drive quality, efficiency, safety, service, and cost performance in a manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for focusing on the current week; coordinating the application of performance tools and methodologies to enhance rapid, ongoing, measurable improvements; Day-to-Day QA Oprations, Production and Maintenance Team Operations as assigned; setting and communicating daily weekly, and monthly objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise, lead, and motivate a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, including quality and customer satisfaction; safety practices, and deadlines; engage and develop teammates through effective performance management, coaching, and training; implement continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus; embody company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership
  • Check production, quality, and maintenance output according to specifications, submit reports on performance and progress while identifying issues in efficiency and suggesting improvements
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings within an environment of trust and engagement and ensure the safe use of equipment and schedules regular maintenance
  • Serves as the program owner and performs internal audits of the program elements
  • Supervises, leads, and motivates a team to deliver results by communicating company goals (including quality and customer satisfaction), safety practices, and deadlines
  • Engages and develops teammates through effective performance management, coaching, and training; implementing continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus; and embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership
  • Supports and assists in audits from internal and external regulatory, certification, customer, and or brand owner sources
  • Maintain staffing schedules and organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Manufacturing experience and Food Industry knowledge preferred
  • Familiarity with lab equipment and testing within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of sanitation and beverage processes
  • Problem-solving and strong analytical ability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Food Manufacturing environment with seasonal temperatures, flexible shifts, and weekend and holiday work based on business needs
  • Experience supervising exempt and non-exempt associates
  • Able to demonstrate strong leadership capabilities
  • Familiar with HACCP, ISO Standards, Six Sigma, and Lean Principles
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SAP, CONA, SharePoint, PHRED, Kronos, and SharePoint is a plus

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school (preferred area of study: Food Science, Biology, Chemistry)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge acquired through 5 - 7 years of work experience.
  • Food or Beverage industry experience

Work Environment

The work environment will vary, including but not limited to exposure to weather conditions, coolers, and customer storage areas which may be non-temperature controlled
