Position Summary
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact by applying your electrical engineering expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment? As an Electrical Engineer at GSK, you will support the consistent delivery of electrical facilities and services in the New England Region, ensuring compliance with GSK Engineering Standards and local or federal regulations. This role aims to achieve cost, quality, and compliance metrics through effective management and collaboration with key contract partners.

Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Identify and implement improvements, design changes or modifications to automation/mechanical systems, equipment of procedures to support the business in following established change control processes

  • Conduct site management monitoring tasks and site GEMBAs to ensure service partner and 3rd party contractor works are being carried out in compliance with national, local, and GSK standards

  • Manage improvement programs generated by various sources: Audit findings, CAPA, Engineering/EHS alerts, Preventable Disruptions, Sustainability objectives

  • Execute site assessments against GSK Engineering Policies and Standards

  • Manage risk mitigation plans/actions in the Risk Management Systems to ensure gaps from engineering assessments or with service delivery at sites are brought it acceptable levels (as low as reasonably practical)

  • Lead investigations and mitigation plans at the site for significant service failures, critical/major audit findings, dispute resolution and process improvements. Champion implementation of engineering standards and process improvement initiatives from RDES. Identify and implement areas for EHS risk reduction and environmental sustainability.

  • Ensure compliance to Quality and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and ensure that the Engineering activity is a safe place to work and 'inspection ready' at all times.

Basic Qualifications
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field such as a science degree

  • 5+ years' experience delivery of electrical facilities and services.

  • Experience managing the alignment of electrical facilities and services with local business needs and priorities.

  • Experience managing cost, quality, and compliance metrics for electrical services.

  • Experience collaborating with cross functional teams

Preferred Qualifications
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry.

  • Familiarity with clean utility systems and industrial utilities.

  • Proficiency in using electrical design and analysis software.

  • Experience managing projects and working with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of electrical facilities and services.

  • Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on electrical systems.

  • Ability to address and resolve technical issues and challenges promptly.

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.

  • Experience with electrical system design, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
