Job Summary:

The Director of Medical Affairs Partnerships is responsible for consolidating and standardizing repeatable activities to ensure high quality, consistency, accuracy, and efficiency. This role provides Medical Affairs project management expertise to ensure the successful execution of Medical Affairs activities within Supernus and across our alliance partners. Incumbents will be responsible for leading the execution of Medical Affairs activities through effective collaboration with Medical Affairs Business Owners, Supernus Program Managers, Support Teams, and vendors, while providing guidance on compliance and requirements related to the execution of these events. This position will also serve to manage the request portal for grants, sponsorships, and medical education supporting post-partum initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Provide project management expertise to ensure successful execution of Medical Affairs activities across the Medical product plans.
  • Coordinates all available resources and involved parties across vendors and multiple internal stakeholder groups.
  • Provide strong project management support in strategic partnerships with alliance partners in the US and ex-US.
  • Leads coordination and project management for internal stakeholders and external parties/vendors to support logistics and project deliverables.
  • Ensures vendors meet all internal policies and external regulations.
  • Contacts vendors for quotes, reviews initial quotes for reasonability, and negotiate with vendors as appropriate.
  • Supports the use, maintenance, and evaluation of Medical Affairs tracking tools to ensure project timelines are met and completed on time and within budget.
  • Establish and manage regularly scheduled planning meetings.
  • Document and follow up on project plan activities, milestones, and action items to ensure effective and timely completion.
  • Proactively communicates across team members to support successful execution and keeps stakeholders well-informed.
  • Conduct post-meeting debriefs and document lessons learned from Symposia and Ad Board execution to inform future planning activities.
  • Manages externally facing grant portal, develop, and execute internal review processes across alliance partners.


Supervisory Responsibilities:



  • Provides leadership and management in an effective manner consistent with Company Values towards defined Corporate Objectives.
  • Understands Company Policy and procedures to be able to guide direct reports appropriately.


Knowledge & Other Qualifications:



  • Bachelors degree in health sciences or a business-related field and a minimum of ten years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Medical Affairs and/or medical education preferred.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of sourcing, negotiating, and managing complex strategic alliances.
  • Previous experience working in a cross-functional environment and partnering with internal teams a plus.
  • Strong project management skills required.
  • Excellent leadership, self-management, organizational, and communication skills.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:



  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or carrying objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen, iPad, or other electronic device; and extensive reading.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.



Compensation:

At Supernus, we offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your experiences and contributions. The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $195,000 to $220,000. This range is what the Company reasonably expects to offer for the position and is not reflective of the full compensation scale of the role. This range may be modified in the future. An individual's salary within the range is based on multiple factors, which may include and are not limited to education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience, and organizational needs.

Base salary is one part of the overall compensation package, which includes the opportunity to participate in employee stock purchase programs and performance-based bonus programs.
