Responsibilities
- Assist with a high volume of loan requests with the ability to work semi independently and complete duties within short timeframes.
- Identification, and appropriate electronic filing of, deal specific data and information. Maintaining electronic deal specific files to ensure orderliness and up to date information.
- Research, filing, compilation and, if applicable, entry of demographic data and location information; market data, information and reports; tenant and sponsor/borrower information; and sales, rent and real estate tax comparables through the use of third-party platforms, industry reports, public sources, etc. Will ensure industry-related reports are secured and filed on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis as is the standard for specific report.
- Review, entry, and basic analysis of deal specific financials (rent rolls, operating statements/ tax returns, budgets, tenant reconciliations, etc.). Identification of missing, contradictive, and/or inaccurate data/information as well as questions and other potential limiting factors to complete evaluation of deal. Data will be entered into Microsoft or Excel and/or ARGUS.
- Review, confirmation, and entry of lease information (tenant name, commencement and expiration dates, type, rent, rent bumps, options and other important information such as early termination clause, go-dark clause, etc.). Identification of missing, contradictive, inaccurate, or questions and other potential limiting factors to complete evaluation of deal. If necessary, complete abstraction of leases.
- Research and compilation/verification of tax parcels, real estate taxes and other property specific attributes (land size, tax parcel numbers, parking spaces, age, etc.) through sponsor, third party platforms, and public sources.
- Research, filing, compilation, creation/editing and insertion of deal specific images, aerials and maps as well as tables or lists of deal specific locations or points of interest geo-located via hyperlink into loan financing packages. Images may include photos, renderings, drawings (floor plans, elevations, unit plans, etc.), etc. secured from sponsor, third party platform or public sources. Aerials and maps may be secured from sponsor, third-party platforms or public sources and may include site plans or surveys. Will ensure proper visual labeling and identification including outline of property; streets, highways, interstates; surrounding uses, etc.; tenants; etc. Will ensure all images are appropriate in nature and attractive as well as assist with providing positive, strong presentation of the deal.
- Assist with creation of loan financing packages including, but not limited to insertion of images, aerials and maps; demographic and market information; property specific attributes; sponsor/ borrower biography; location description; points of interest, etc. Make appropriate updates to loan financing package upon review by originations.
- Assist with research and compilation of answers or information requests from team members (origination, closing or servicing), lenders and/ or third parties - such as valuation firms.
- Assist with prepayment calculations by researching, compiling and identifying pertinent information as well as data entry. Related tasks shall include pulling third part report(s), if applicable: retrieving appropriate financing document(s); and identification of pertinent sections from documents and facts such as prepayment type, term, rate, amortization, etc.
- Aid in the research and, if applicable, implementation of new and/or improved software platforms.
- Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner
- Collect, enter and maintain appropriate data/information within CRE database as it pertains to deal sourcing, quotes and comments. Generate corresponding reports for sourcing and quotes from CRE database for originators/clients. Will also be responsible for filing pertinent documents and/or information within file system.
Qualifications
Education, Training and Requirements:
- B.S. or B.A. degree in a "business-related field" (finance, management, economics, or accounting) or real estate field of study Bachelor's degree requirement can be substituted for two years of experience in a business, real estate or credit underwriting as field deemed acceptable within hiring process.
- All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Skills: Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written); proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.); Proficient organizational skills; Strong research and data entry capabilities. Experience: Preferred one (1) to two (2) years of commercial real estate finance, accounting or credit underwriting.
