Job Overview:


The Assembler is responsible for assembling all pumps with excellent workmanship and efficiency. This is a 1st shift position with hours from Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, OT and Weekends as needed. Responsibilities:


  • Use manual dexterity to assemble small components.


  • Perform operations and adjust testing equipment to maintain excellent efficiency and flow of work.


  • Perform work such as fitting parts to close tolerances, adjusting for working and proper operation.


  • Performs to Standard Work Instructions.


  • Participates in '5 Whys' problem-solving exercises


  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.


  • Embrace IR Business Systems tools to accomplish duties and drive continuous improvements.


  • Be aware and awake to company safety procedures and standards to insure individual and collective safety, in addition to avoiding unnecessary risk to oneself, co-workers, contractors, customers, and property. Be a stand for safety having the courage to call forth and report unsafe practices.


  • All other duties as assigned.




Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED


  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting

  • Ability to lift a maximum of 40 lbs.

  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time

  • Works within a manufacturing environment, with occasional exposure to noise, heat, cold, fumes, and chemicals

  • Knowledge of and willingness to comply with all general work rules, policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and procedures.


  • Ability to identify routine problem causation, and correct routine problems, and willingness to learn.


  • Broad working knowledge and experience with standard work instructions.


  • Team oriented, must have the ability to work cohesively with others.


  • Must possess ability to work well in a manufacturing environment.


  • Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.


  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.




Preferences:


  • 2+years of assembly experience preferred, but strong mechanical aptitude may also be acceptable.


  • Good understanding of assembly operations.


  • Capable of reading and following standard work.


  • Must be capable of using special measuring equipment effectively.


  • Capable of working from blueprints, drawings, charts, specifications, and/or verbal instructions.


  • Capable of performing work such as fitting parts to close tolerances.


  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and work well with others.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


  • Excellent past work record (performance, attendance and attitude)


  • Soldering experience, a plus.


  • Ability to speak and read English.




Pay Range


  • Starting Pay will be $21.85 per hour plus $1.35/hr. shift differential. This is a full-time, hourly position.
