In this role, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our Power Projects portfolio. In this dynamic position, you'll collaborate closely with the Manager, Power Projects, and project-specific Project Managers to drive success from early development through execution. This role offers a unique blend of office-based planning,engineering design, detailed technicaland on-site engagement, giving you hands-on experience in engineering design, project coordination, quality assurance, and construction management.

What you will do:

  • Design and project management support to Manager, Projects and Project Managers in mature project development and project execution.

  • Construction management support (specifications, inspection, quality assurance, materials management program, EH&S, cost and schedule management, etc. at the direction of Project & Construction Manager and via self-initiative.

  • Facilitates interaction and coordination of various internal project stakeholders including Power Business Development, Technical Services, Power Operations, Supply Chain Management, Legal, Safety, Land, Environment, Projects Supporting Groups, etc.

  • Understanding and using the project management systems to support the project achieving positive scope, schedule, quality, and cost results and manage and mitigate risks on each project.

Who you are:

  • Engineering degree, technical diploma or related construction or operational training and or experience.

  • Registered as a PE in the US or P Eng in Canada is an asset.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience related to utility scale renewable power generation or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Site based project experience and a willingness to actively engage with site presence during execution.

  • Effective interpersonal skills that include communication and collaboration.

  • Role requires a valid drivers' license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with some field work required.

  • 20-30%, up to 50% of travel during peak periods.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
