Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Commercial Technology Director is responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, implementation, and support of technology solutions that enable efficient, secure, and scalable treasury operations and payment systems.This role bridges the gap between finance and technology, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals, regulatory compliance, and innovation in digital payments and cash management.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $127,900 - $258,600 per year. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications and the career level at which the position is filled.

Key Accountabilities

#1 Strategic Leadership

    Develop and execute the IT roadmap for treasury and payment systems in alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Partner with Treasury, Finance, and Risk teams to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and innovation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the selection, implementation, and integration of treasury management systems (TMS), payment gateways, and banking platforms.

#2 Technology & Operations

  • Oversee the architecture, configuration, and maintenance of TMS and payment platforms.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of payment processing systems.
  • Manage vendor relationships with banks, fintechs, and software providers.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives including real-time payments, APIs, stablecoin , and AI-driven cash forecasting.

#3 Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, PCI-DSS, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Implement robust cybersecurity and fraud prevention measures across payment channels.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, risk metrics, and audit findings.

#4 Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of IT professionals and project managers.
  • Foster collaboration between IT, Treasury, Accounting, and external partners.
  • Communicate effectively with executive leadership on project status, risks, and strategic opportunities.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years focused on treasury or payment systems.
  • Deep understanding of treasury operations, payment processing, banking technologies, and financial regulations.
  • Experience with TMS platforms (e.g., Fiserv, FIS), ERP systems, and payment networks (ACH, SWIFT, RTP).
  • Strong project management and vendor negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking abilities.
