Overview
The Solutions Architect - Lead to Order (LTO) Value Stream is responsible for designing and enabling technology solutions that support and optimize the end-to-end Lead to Order process - from opportunity management through quoting, configuration, pricing, and order management. This role ensures that business capabilities within Sales, Customer Service, and Estimating/Quoting are fully supported by scalable, integrated, and efficient systems aligned with the company's enterprise architecture strategy. The Solutions Architect collaborates closely with business stakeholders, process owners, and technical teams to translate business needs into cohesive solution designs that drive growth, improve customer experience, and enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Develop and lead the forward-looking strategy and roadmap for the Lead to Order Value Stream, ensuring alignment with business goals, technology trends, and operational efficiency initiatives and scalability.
- Lead the technical implementation of Lead to Order Platforms (CRM, Estimating, Quoting, Pricing).
- Oversee the architecture, design, development, implementation, and support of business-critical applications.
- Partner with department leaders to understand business needs and align application solutions accordingly.
- Design, implement, and maintain MEC information systems and programs to enhance business effectiveness, solve problems, and create new opportunities to achieve business goals.
- Prepare systems and program specifications, test criteria, project control, and management reporting.
- Collaborate with business team management and end users to understand system requirements and solutions.
- Partner within IT to ensure alignment (e.g., security, data, project management, infrastructure, operations, etc.)
Qualifications
Job Skills Requirements
- Strong understanding of API design, integration platforms, automation platforms and algorithms.
- Familiarity with master data management, and data governance concepts.
- Proficiency in creating solution diagrams and architectural documentation.
- Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain IT concepts to business leaders.
- Strong facilitation skills with experience engaging teams in a collaborative, distributed environment.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field.
Experience Requirements
- Ten years of experience in IT and Enterprise Applications.
- Five years of experience in system design, architecture development, system integration or technical leadership roles.
- Manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with Lead to Order, Quote to Cash, or Order Management disciplines.
