Job Description:

The Enterprise Application Director is responsible for the overall strategy, management, and optimization of the organization's enterprise application portfolio. This includes leadership of product teams across D365, Workday Financials, ServiceNow, .Net Development, Power Platforms, Integrations, iCertis, Retain, and Level 3 Enterprise Applications Support. The role ensures that enterprise platforms enable business objectives, maintain operational excellence, and drive innovation through continuous improvement and integration. The director also serves as a key IT leader in merger and acquisition (M&A) activities, ensuring seamless application integration, data migration, and process alignment. Additionally, the role acts as the technical liaison with Microsoft, driving collaboration, innovation, and maximizing value from the partnership.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the enterprise applications strategy aligned with business priorities and IT objectives.
  • Partner with business leaders to translate organizational needs into technology roadmaps.
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging trends in ERP, HCM, ITSM, and enterprise application ecosystems.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

  • Lead IT application integration strategy and execution during acquisitions, divestitures, and mergers.
  • Oversee due diligence for enterprise applications, ensuring risk identification and mitigation.
  • Plan and manage system migrations, data consolidation, and process harmonization across platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure smooth onboarding of acquired entities into the enterprise application ecosystem.

Team & Portfolio Management

  • Lead and mentor product teams responsible for enterprise platforms and application support.
  • Manage budgets, resource allocation, and performance metrics for the enterprise applications portfolio.
  • Promote an agile and product-focused delivery model.

Technology & Operations

  • Ensure enterprise applications are secure, reliable, and compliant with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee lifecycle management of applications, including upgrades, enhancements, and decommissioning.
  • Drive integration initiatives across platforms to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Provide oversight and resolution for Level 3 support and escalations.

Governance & Compliance

  • Establish governance standards for application usage, enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Monitor compliance with audit, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure system performance, adoption, and value delivery.

Innovation & External Partnerships

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison with Microsoft, driving alignment between the organization's application roadmap and Microsoft's platform strategy.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft account teams to leverage product innovation, licensing, and support services.
  • Introduce automation, analytics, and digital solutions to optimize processes.
  • Evaluate vendor offerings and negotiate contracts to maximize technology investments.
  • Continuously assess opportunities for improvement and modernization within the application landscape.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience managing enterprise applications in a large-scale environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading ERP, HCM, ITSM, development, and integration teams.
  • Experience leading IT application activities in mergers and acquisitions is highly desirable.
  • Technical & Leadership Skills
  • Proficiency in enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Workday Financials, and ServiceNow.
  • Strong background in application integration, middleware, and custom development.
  • Knowledge of IT governance, compliance, and security frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships, including strategic partnerships with Microsoft.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • We appreciate talent from all over the United States and are willing to consider candidates who may not be located near a Crowe office location for this role/opening.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $162,700.00 - $355,700.00 per year.
