Hourly Pay Rate: $24.00 - $32.00

Position

Inspects products manufactured by Sekisui Aerospace for our customers, ensuring compliance with all customer drawings and specification requirements.

QA Inspector Levels:

Quality Assurance Inspector I

Performs visual and dimensional inspections of in-house and supplier-produced products to ensure compliance with specifications. This role documents non-conformities, supports production and supervisory teams with inspection-related information, and verifies kits during final inspection prior to shipment.

Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Six months to one year of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

Quality Assurance Inspector II

Conducts visual and dimensional inspections of products, materials, and tooling across all work centers to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements. This role documents non-conformities, supports production personnel, verifies final inspection kits, and assists in internal audits. Additionally, the inspector may train or guide others in inspection procedures and tools.

Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.

Quality Assurance Inspector III

Performs comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections of in-house and supplier products, materials, and tooling across all work centers. This role documents non-conformities, verifies installation kits during final inspection, and ensures compliance with customer and regulatory quality plans. The inspector supports production teams, interfaces with vendors and customers, prepares and conducts internal audits, and provides training to other inspectors. Proficiency in AS9102 First Article Inspection using Net-Inspect and standard forms is required. Two to four years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally both independent and collaborative. Three to five years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic blueprint reading skills.
  • Able to use hand inspection tools. (Calipers, 6" scale, height gage, etc.)
  • Intermediate math aptitude.
  • Able to support inspection functions in multiple work centers.
  • Familiar with digital, electronic inspection media.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse workforce.

Preferred Experience:

  • Ability to mentor/train team members in multiple production areas (assembly, trim, layup and paint).

Pay

SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay ranges may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets.
