We have an opening in our Monmouth Junction, NJ facility for a Director, Information Technology - Infrastructure Lead

The Director, Infrastructure Lead is a proactive position overseeing design, implementation, and maintenance of our networking and server infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring reliability, security, and performance of our core IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical expertise combined with leadership experience in managing complex infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the infrastructure team responsible for networking, server and data center operations
  • Define and drive infrastructure roadmap, aligning with business goals and IT strategies
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members
  • Support Network Management by overseeing the design, implementation and support of LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers and wireless infrastructure
  • Ensure network performance, reliability and security, including monitoring and optimization
  • Manage vendor relationships for networking equipment and services
  • Manage on-premises and cloud-based server environments (Windows/Linux)
  • Oversee virtualization platforms (i.e., VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (SAN/NAS)
  • Ensure high availability, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Collaborate with team to enforce security policies, patch management and vulnerability remediation; Coordinate with third party SOC vendors as needed
  • Ensure infrastructure complies with regulatory standards (i.e., ISO, SOC, GDPR, etc.)
  • Lead infrastructure projects from planning to execution, including migrations, upgrades and new deployments

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Associate/Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field or comparable education
  • Minimum 8 years experience in IT infrastructure including minimum 5 of those years in a senior engineering role
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture, protocols and technologies (i.e., TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, VLANs, etc.)
  • Experience with server infrastructure (Windows, Linux), virtualization (VMware)
  • Proven ability to manage complex infrastructure environments with a focus on security, uptime and performance
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Relevant certifications (i.e., CCNP, MCSE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, VMware VCP) PREFERRED
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) PREFERRED
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration strategies PREFERRED

Work Arrangements: We are a HYBRID work environment requiring local candidates to be able to work majority of week in our NJ office. Non-local candidates must be able to come into office multiple times a month.

Anticipated salary range: $215 to $230/yr. Base salary offered is contingent on assessment of candidate's education and experience level relative to requirements of the position and a review of related industry standards and internal equity.

Additional benefits: In addition to base salary, full-time employees are also eligible for incentives, including, but not limited to: bonus eligible, medical, dental, vision, Rx insurance, 401K with match, life insurance, paid Company Holidays, PTO, Paid Volunteer Time and Employee Resource Groups.
