As a Business Manager, you will partner with the US Public Relations account teams to manage the financial and operational needs of the account teams.
  • Project management of the life cycle of client projects
    • Ownership of project set up, managing all new opportunities in Salesforce by accurately inputting client financial information. Collaborate with contracts and finance teams for seamless execution
    • Manage the flow of all scope changes. Submit budget change requests, securing change orders and ensuring project status updates are timely and accurate
    • Partner with account leads to update monthly staffing projections. Report insights and action items to Ops and Finance leadership.
  • Act as strategic partner to the account leads
    • Own account budget trackers and validate data to ensure performance aligns with budget and forecast
    • Issue weekly updates to account leads, emphasizing key insights and action items derived from budget reports
    • Partner with project finance to reconcile budgets, offering strategic direction on mitigating potential over-budget scenarios. Prepare end-of-month billing direction and client invoicing materials.
  • Support account teams with vendor operations
    • Manage the set-up and contracting of various external vendors, including paid media partners, spokespeople, and production vendors. Manage the financial deliverables in Oracle, including Purchase Order creation and invoice payment
    • Track out-of-pocket costs for client projects, escalating any issues to account leads
  • Identify areas of improvement in both process and reporting. Use a strategic mindset to actively contribute to the growth and optimization of the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous project management experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
  • Previous agency or professional services experience in an operations setting preferred
  • Meticulous and excellent communication skills
  • Keen eye for process improvements and reporting efficiencies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Oracle preferred

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $80K to $90K. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
