Overview
The Agency of Digital Services is seeking a Network Administrator IV to serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert within the Network Operations team. This is the highest level in the Network Administrator series, responsible for strategic planning, architecture design, and lifecycle management of the State's complex and distributed network infrastructure. In this role, you will define and oversee enterprise network architecture standards, lead large-scale implementation and migration efforts, and provide expert-level support for critical infrastructure components. You will collaborate with IT leadership to align network strategies with statewide technology goals, ensure adherence to cybersecurity and compliance frameworks, and drive innovation in areas such as automation, cloud connectivity, and software-defined networking. The position requires exceptional technical acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional efforts involving multiple departments, vendors, and stakeholders. You will serve as an escalation point for critical incidents and provide mentorship and training to junior and mid-level administrators. Duties are primarily performed in an office or data center environment, with periodic fieldwork at various State-owned or leased facilities.In-state travel may be required for project oversight and site assessments.Evening, weekend, or on-call work may be necessary during major upgrades or network incidents. Work is performed in a computer network environment involving considerable interaction with customers, departmental and other IT staff. Some overtime work will be necessary during after hour maintenance or emergencies. Some travel to customer locations may be involved, for which private means of transportation may be required. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science AND three (3) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration. OR Associate's degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits AND five (5) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration. OR Eight (8) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration. Total Compensation
