The Graduate School of Library and Information Studies in the Harrington School of Communication and Media at the University of Rhode Island is hiring a tenure-track faculty member specializing in school library media to coordinate the School Library Media program, beginning in Fall 2026. This position is a full-time, academic-year, tenure-track appointment. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 1. PhD in Library and Information Studies or equivalent doctoral degree by appointment date. 2. Master's degree leading to licensure as all-grades library media specialist. 3. Experience as a certified school library media specialist or international equivalent. 4. Ability to teach in higher education, including at least one required core course in the GSLIS curriculum, two SLM courses, and the SLM practicum course. 5. Evidence of a scholarly research agenda.
