Lead Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Transplant Full Time Days Detroit

Wonderful opportunity as a Lead Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide care to pre & post liver, kidney, pancreas, & intestinal transplant patients! It is a busy unit given the volume of transplants performed each year at Henry Ford Hospital (approximately 300 transplants per year).

• Fast paced environment which promotes autonomy and clinical expertise.
• A lead NP or PA will provide functional support to a defined team of APPs in conjunction with their clinical practice duties.
• Functional leadership includes interviewing and participating in selecting new team members, assisting with APP onboarding, orientation reviews, performance feedback.
• Administrative leadership time at discretion of department/division.
• Works in collaboration with staff physicians, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved in a safe and efficient manner. Specific procedures are individually credentialed as indicated by training, experience, and privileges
• 12 Hour shifts rotating between days and nights,
• One weekend shift approximately every other month.
• Previous APP experience inpatient - preferably in an ICU setting would be preferred, as well as experience caring for transplant patients.
