Your role The Cost Accountant plays a key role in managing and analyzing all aspects of product costing, inventory valuation, and cost control within a manufacturing environment. This position partners closely with operations, engineering, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost data, identify opportunities for efficiency, and support strategic decision-making. You will report to the Business Controller. You will: Input data into financial reporting system (GPS) Forecast expenses by cost center Prepare monthly reports comparing actuals to forecasts Explain forecast variances Manage work orders for equipment, R&D, and service projects Review work orders with responsible parties Coordinate time tracking and posting against projects Evaluate project profitability Review standard vs. actual cost variances Regularly review and update standard costs Analyze and explains cost variances Assist with quarterly and annual forecasting Evaluate and monitor internal controls related to costing, reporting, and project management To succeed, you will need We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single requirement.
