As the Transportation Supervisor, you will work with the Area Transportation Manager to ensure the effective daily coordination and monitoring of delivery activities and work assignments of fleet personnel within the district. This position will require a strong communicator, collaborating cross-functionally across the Crescent field and distribution facilities, with a brand to lead and drive. This position will work with the Area Transportation Manager to lead a dedicated team of final mile delivery employees and requires extensive coordination with other on-site operations. The Transportation Supervisor will share responsibility for all aspects of a district's designated delivery and fleet initiatives; including, but not limited to, control of scope and specifications, end to end schedule, and directing actions of vendors conducting support of programs in the field and distribution center(s).

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Provide direct support to district locations with scheduling, routing, tracking, and coverage assistance, working in close partnership with local Field Operations leaders and DC personnel.
  • Coordinate work assignments and daily schedules with drivers and other department personnel.
  • Maintain knowledge of assigned market area and provide the most efficient directions and routes possible for our drivers on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that proper information is listed on routing manifests and route schedules before drivers leave their facilities.
  • Review completed deliveries with drivers and leaders for accuracy and course correct, as necessary.
  • Provide first-line resource assistance to district Field Operations and CX Teams.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment with the goal of ensuring that all fleet employees work and return home safely while adhering to FMCSA guidelines.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities may include assisting with hiring, interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Help supervise the maintenance of the district delivery fleet to ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate Degree and 3+ years of related Transportation experience managing drivers; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Well versed in understanding and training of the FMCSA and its associated regulations.
  • Valid driver's license and/or CDL.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification.
  • Ability obtain and maintain forklift certification.

Pay Details:

  • The expected rate of pay for this position is $63,000 - $75,000 annually; inclusive of base plus annual bonus opportunity.
