Job Description




As a Security Officer - Financial Dispatch Operations in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent financial institution, you will play a key role in monitoring activity and coordinating response efforts to help maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities will include using computer systems or tablets to manage communications, support access control, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will also provide outstanding customer service while collaborating with colleagues and upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and manage communications for incidents and emergencies within the location, coordinating with staff and responding agencies as appropriate.
  • Dispatch appropriate personnel in response to alarms, incidents, and requests for assistance, following established procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Document and log all incidents, dispatches, and communications accurately and thoroughly for future reference and reporting.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points via electronic systems and/or direct communication.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from site personnel and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Support Allied Universal operations by following security-related procedures and protocols tailored to a financial institution environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of emergency response activities as needed, maintaining composure and a problem-solving approach during critical situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
