Schedule: The Intern is scheduled to work 40 hours a week. Schedules will vary weekly, based upon business needs. The Internship will begin on June 1st, 2026 and will end on August 7th,2026. Please note this position resides in our brand office in Carlisle Pa (1149 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, Pa. 17013) and will require 3 in-person days each week in office. What are we looking for? Students with a minimum GPA of a 3.0 Students who are at least a sophomore in college Bonus characteristics that may help you be successful in the role: Previous position working for The GIANT Company A passion and eagerness to learn about the grocery industry Self-starter with initiative and natural curiosity Good people skills Familiarity with Power BI and advanced MS Excel skill set What will you do? Work closely with the Finance team with a focus on the core responsibilities of financial management of GIANT retail business operations including: Budgeting and Forecasting of various areas within the profit and loss statement Financial analysis on various projects/initiatives to provide actionable insights and business recommendations Variance and trend analysis and explanation Fiscal period and quarter end reporting and analysis Capital Spend and Working Capital Management Collaborate cross functionally with each area within the Finance department and the various business partners that Finance works with Develop your financial management and analysis skills through hands on learning throughout the internship program Participate meaningfully in various activities associated with the internship program *Please note these tasks are subject to change based on the needs of your hiring manager Why work with us? Essential Functions/Physical Requirements: Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and other software to effectively communicate with others and produce work products as assigned Ability to sit, stand, move about, grasp, reach, type, speak, and lift up to 10 lbs. frequently as required by daily work assignments Detailed-oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others in a group setting, either physically or virtually Ability to handle confidential material in a discrete and professional manner Must have the ability to travel for work via personal or community mass transportation if needed Ability to observe company policies and work rules, and other duties as assigned by your supervisor The GIANT Company is an equal opportunity employer.
