Overview

Milton CAT is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the development, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide information security strategies. The CISO will be responsible for safeguarding Milton CAT's digital assets, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.



Responsibilities

    Security Strategy & Governance:
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business objectives.
    • Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
    • Lead the Information Security Governance program, ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks across the organization.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
    • Implement risk management frameworks and ensure continuous monitoring.
  • Cybersecurity Operations:
    • Oversee the deployment and management of cybersecurity technologies including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, identity management, CASB/SASE, NAC and encryption.
    • Monitor and respond to security incidents, breaches, and threats.
    • Lead incident response planning and execution, including post-incident analysis and reporting.
  • Compliance & Audit:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC).
    • Coordinate internal and external audits related to information security.
    • Maintain documentation and reporting for regulatory bodies and executive leadership.
  • Security Awareness & Training:
    • Develop and deliver security awareness programs for employees.
    • Promote a culture of security throughout the organization.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:
    • Collaborate with IT, legal, HR, and other departments and operating units to integrate security into all aspects of business operations.
    • Lead and mentor the information security team.
    • Provide regular updates to executive leadership and the board on security posture and initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 25+ years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience in incident response, threat analysis, and security architecture.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in industrial equipment, construction, or heavy machinery sectors.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, cloud security, and operational technology (OT) environments.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and managing security across distributed environments.
