Staffmark is partnering with a leading dairy manufacturer in Commerce, CA and we are seeking an experienced Food Production Operator to join their production team. This position plays a key role in ensuring all products meet strict quality, safety, and production standards.

Pay: $24-$27/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Must be available to work on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts

The Pasteurizer is responsible for ensuring that all known pathogens are pasteurized, and the product is properly homogenized. This position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to food safety standards, and a commitment to maintaining consistent product quality.

Responsibilities:



  • Operate and maintain pasteurizers and related production equipment
  • Monitor and follow Standard Operating Procedures for batching and processing
  • Verify and document temperature charts, cut-in/cut-out readings, and product records
  • Maintain accurate and legible paperwork for all production activities
  • Inspect and monitor product fats, solids, and allergen levels for compliance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve moderate operational issues
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation duties, including CIP processes
  • Communicate equipment or production issues to management promptly
  • Uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and follow all food safety guidelines
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency




Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience, preferably in food or beverage manufacturing
  • Strong math skills and ability to follow detailed procedures
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Comfortable working in a wet environment and with cleaning chemicals
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
