Position Description

The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and keeping the warehouse clean and organized. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing inventory, organizing storage areas, and ensuring that the right products are delivered to the correct location in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that materials are available for use when they are needed in the production process.
  • Receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items from the stockroom or warehouse
  • Keeping records and compiling stock reports
  • Inspecting goods upon delivery to ensure that the standards of quality are met and the correct quantity has been received
  • Moving materials around the warehouse using lifting equipment or a forklift
  • Packing, wrapping, and labeling goods as per company policies and procedures
  • Implementing safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace
  • Organizing the storage areas for easy and efficient retrieval of materials
  • Coordinating with other departments to determine the need and schedule for materials
  • Performing routine inventory audits to ensure accuracy and adequate supply
  • Disposing of waste materials in a safe, environmentally friendly manner
Required Education & Qualifications

* GED or High-School Diploma
* Good organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
* Ability to drive a forklift and obtain certification
* Must be able to lift up to 50Lbs
