We are seeking a Shot Blast Operator to work in our Monroe, NC facility. In this position you are responsible for operating the Shot Blast machine independently. This role is crucial because it relieves stress from the material by removing scale and oxidation. Removing byproduct from the material allows the product to enter its final inspection. As a Shot Blast Operator, you will load the machine with a variety of metal bars, activate the rollers, unload the finished materials from the exit, and re-bundle the materials. This position requires attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.

This is a night shift position from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, working on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will work 2 days, have 2 days off, work 3 days; then 2 days off, work 2 days, then have 3 days off. Training will take place on day shift from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on the 2-2-3 schedule.

Additional Responsibilities

• Use computer to track the duration of the process
• Activate and run Shot Blast machine by operating a control panel
• Inspect materials for any cracks or blemishes
• Manually unload the machine and add tags onto the completed bundle of materials
• Follow and implement all prescribed safety rules and regulations

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of manufacturing experience is preferred

Skills

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift or slide materials up to 50lbs
