RN ED Obs Float

This position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced Observation unit that provides care for adult patients requiring additional observation. The goal is to determine if a patient's condition necessitates hospital admission or if they can be safely treated and discharged. The unit manages a high turnover of 20 to 27 patients daily, with an average stay of 27 hours, and operates with 24/7 provider coverage. Care is provided to a diverse adult population, including both emergency observation and admitted boarding patients, with stays ranging from short-term to full admissions.

• Rotating Shift Schedules
• On Call and Call Back
• Charge Responsibilities
• Holidays and Weekends as needed
• 48 hours per week, consisting of 4x12 hour shifts

• RN License (NY License ONLY)
• Two years of Med/Surg Experience
• Telemetry Required

• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• NIHSS (Preferred)
• ACLS (AHA ONLY)
