We are looking for a Quality Engineer for our Sales Quality Team in Industrial market. The position reports to the Manager of Customer Quality for the Industrial Market for North America (Canada and USA). The Quality Engineer will play a vital role driving customer satisfaction through the passionate coordination of complaints, PPAPs, customer surveys and other customer related activities. The person will act as a liaison between customers and SKF's global factory base. They will be a key advocate for customers.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Champions the SKF Group Quality Policy and philosophy.
  • Coordinates containment/corrective/improvement actions, related to customer complaints, warranty and field issues.
  • Drives implementation of the SKF Group Quality Policy and objectives.
  • Coordinate corrective action follow-up and deployment inside and outside own Business Unit.
  • Manage customer portals, quality reviews, etc. with Key customers, as assigned (i.e., Caterpillar, John Deere, CNHI, etc.).
  • Perform internal Quality System Audits to ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 22163 and follow-up on internal corrective actions.
  • Coordinate PPAP requests with the SKF Factories and product owners.
  • Help sales to negotiate the suitable PPAP/FAI for the type of product and application.
  • Assist in Customer Surveys.
  • Participate in and drive continuous improvement projects
  • Develop solutions using Office 365, AI, basic programing, to improve our ways of working
  • Assist in review of Customer General Requirements.
  • Follow up, monitor, report, and check effectiveness of improvement activities related to Quality KPI's and audit non-conformances.



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or the equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • Experience working with major/key OEM and After Market customers
  • In depth knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, successful teamwork experience, and the ability to work internally and externally with all organizational levels
  • Good listener with sound written and verbal communication skills as well as fluency in English
  • Qualified auditor status for ISO 9001:2015 as a minimum
  • A strong desire to promote and influence change in the organization through leading by example in areas of competence
  • Must be able to self-manage with limited resources and deliver desired results, with speed and accuracy
  • Sound understanding of Quality requirements
  • Working knowledge of using Office 365, Power apps, basic programing, or other tools to develop solutions
  • Basic programing and coding, working with databases or creation of applications
  • Data and statistical analysis knowledge (Excel, Minitab, or other statistical software)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt certification preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
