Job Description




As a Security Officer - Commercial Real Estate Patrol in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with tenants, visitors, and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while responding to incidents and assisting as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at commercial real estate locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and reporting any suspicious activity to management and/or law enforcement as required.
  • Document daily activities, observations, and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific standards.
  • Provide support during emergency situations by following established procedures to help to protect people and property.
  • Maintain a professional presence while interacting with clients, tenants, and visitors at the commercial real estate location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
