Join us as our next Head of Samples and Trial Order, Reporting to our Head of Operations for North America. You will Maintain the daily responsibilities of the Sample and Trial Order department ensuring flavor products are manufactured, within quality standards and cost goals for smooth delivery to customers. Accountable, directly and indirectly for all NOAM Commercial Sampling activity. Speed of execution is an important enabler to Givaudan's ability to win new business.

You will be based in Cincinnati, OH.

In this exciting role you will:




  • Oversee the daily functions of the Sample and Trial Order Department and its employees. Assuring the and safe delivery of all samples to our external and internal customers.



  • Based on regional strategy, oversees the execution of tactical and operational plans to meet functional goals for Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost.



  • Control production, material flow, inventory, and systems to achieve cost and quality targets and production schedules of the assigned production areas.



  • Manage the short-term and long-term roadmap strategy with inputs from regional and global stakeholders.



  • Manage projects at the local, regional, and global scale, requiring stakeholder management and collaboration in all functions and regions.



  • Validate and manage the department's capital expense project portfolio to align with regional and global strategies.



  • Oversee the annual OPEX and adjust spending to meet set budgets.



  • Commercial facing presence with Flavor Creation & Applications, Marketing, and Sales to ensure alignment and support of their strategies.



  • Correct department capacity and capability.



  • Working with NOAM Operations Leadership team to ensure understanding and support of their strategies. Corrects department capacity and capability.



  • Establish quality control standards and develop budget controls and plans.



  • Implement initiatives and drives continuous improvement to achieve key performance objectives.



  • Perform risk assessments and apply corrective actions accordingly to prevent damage to Givaudan's profits and reputation. Focusing on strict compliance to regulations (food safety, transportation, etc.).



  • Ensure close partnerships are maintained between Sample & Trial Order in internal functions and their regional counterparts (Quality, PT/ManEx, Supply Chain).



  • Maintains a safe and sanitary working environment for all department employees, and for our customers.





Technical Skills




  • Expertise in world class manufacturing concepts (LEAN).



  • Expertise in product industrialization.



  • Expertise in change management.



  • Expertise is collecting and reacting to critical feedback.



  • Stakeholder management; drive accountability.



  • Experience with business process flows.



  • Understanding of office and manufacturing applications.



  • Understanding of financial concepts (e.g. OPEX, CAPEX).





Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related discipline.



  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with a background in supply chain, quality and materials management.



  • 5+ years of progressive experience in people management.
