Job Title: Night Shift Cable Technicians - Healthcare Facilities Support Location: Houston, TX (Multiple Sites) Employment Type: Long-Term Contract (Ongoing, Project-Based Work) Shift: Night Shift (Start Time: 5:00 PM) Start Date: Wednesday, November 6th Overview We are hiring experienced cable technicians for a long-term, project-based contract supporting structured cabling work inside healthcare facilities across the Houston metro area. This is a night shift role starting at 5:00 PM, focused on network closet work - dressing cables, organizing racks, performing terminations, and ensuring clean, professional setups. Technicians must be comfortable traveling to 30+ different sites around Houston and working independently in low-traffic environments. Must-Have Skills * Expert-level cable dressing in telecom/network closets * Clean and organized rack work including patch panels and hardware setup * Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic terminations * Ability to read and follow blueprints or scope documents * Experience working in healthcare environments or similar sensitive settings * Strong attention to detail and pride in neat, professional work * Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to multiple sites across Houston * Comfortable working overnight hours, starting at 5:00 PM Responsibilities * Dress and organize cables inside telecom/network closets * Perform terminations and patch panel work * Install and configure network racks, patch panels, and related hardware * Maintain high standards of neatness and cable management * Follow infection control and safety protocols * Document work and label infrastructure accurately * Travel to multiple sites across the Houston area Additional Info * PPE and basic hand tools required * Pay rate based on experience and skill level * Opportunities for advancement and long-term placement Job Type & Location This is a contract position based out of Houston, TX, working overnight hours starting at 5:00 PM, across multiple healthcare sites.
