Position Description

Position Overview:

This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in construction technology and integration. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting the implementation of innovative tech solutions that enhance operations across construction and manufacturing systems. The role is designed to introduce students to the intersection of construction, data, and technology-preparing them for future roles in construction tech, VDC, or systems integration.

What You'll Do:

  1. Technology Exposure: Assist in integrating various technology platforms to improve communication, logistics, and efficiency across construction and manufacturing workflows.
  2. Project Support: Help track and document technology-related project activities from procurement through installation.
  3. Data Management: Support the organization and sharing of project data across platforms, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  4. Process Optimization: Participate in identifying opportunities to streamline material and tool logistics using technology.
  5. Solution Development: Contribute ideas and assist in developing tech-based solutions to address construction challenges.
  6. Training & Communication: Help prepare training materials and support team members in adopting new technologies.
  7. Collaboration: Work with project managers, engineers, and field teams to align technology solutions with project goals.

Learning Opportunities:

  1. Gain exposure to construction software tools and data integration platforms.
  2. Learn how technology supports field operations, logistics, and project planning.

Position Requirements

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, data science, or related field.
  2. Interest in construction technology, systems integration, or process automation.
  3. Strong organizational and communication skills.
  4. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn construction tech tools (e.g., Bluebeam, BIM360, Revit, Smartsheet).
  5. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
