As a Health & Safety Coordinator, you'll play a key role in promoting safe and responsible operations in the field. You'll conduct daily site visits, lead safety trainings, and support compliance with safety standards. You'll work closely with employees and leadership to identify hazards, recommend solutions, and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to:

  • Provide HSE support to the production operations, completions, and drilling operations.
  • Conduct field assessments and safety checks on wells, facilities, and vehicles
  • Conduct safety meetings and focused refresher training including OSHA compliance-based training, Company initiatives, Smith Driving Systems, etc. as needed.
  • Document management through the use of HSE database systems to manage training records, safety meetings, incident reporting, inspection reports, audits and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Assist Supervisors/Managers to trend incidents and observation data and recommend targeted prevention initiatives
  • Ensure employees and contractors are following Diamondbacks HSE compliance standards
  • Facilitate and/or assist with incident and highpotential nearmiss investigations, SIFS, P-SIFS, M-SIFS

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver license.
  • Three (3+) years of experience as a practitioner in Health, Safety, Environmental role(s) with applied knowledge of relevant EPA, OSHA, state regulatory (TCEQ) and industry standards OR One (1+) year(s) of experience as a practitioner in Health, Safety, Environmental role(s) with applied knowledge of relevant EPA, OSHA, state regulatory (TCEQ) and industry standards with a Bachelor's degree
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Knowledge of OSHA, TRRC, ANSI, NIOSH, API, AOSC, Drilling Standards, and accepted safe practices for the petroleum industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions and respond to callouts, including nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety or industry related field preferred
  • Relevant certifications (CSP, ASP, CHST, etc.) are preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn system applications and business processes
  • Specific and technical knowledge of OSHA and PMSH DOT pipeline standards and compliance

Relocation:

  • This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
