Overview
Develops and maintains agent/forwarder accounts in order to maximize revenue generation to Atlas Air.
Responsibilities
Develops and implements, by agent/forwarder, the strategy and tactics to generate revenue within the assigned territory. Successfully communicates, cooperates and interfaces with other Atlas Air departments, including Customer Service and Terminal Services.
- Coordinates with Accounting and agent/forwarders to resolve short pays, non-payments and CCA's, including volume weights, and re-weights.
- Implements the regional sales plan of the assigned territories in conjunction with corporate revenue/sales objectives at the direction of the Manager Sales and Customer Service.
- Maintains and develops account interface and ensures communication and coordination with Customer Service to provide continuity with corporate plans and objectives at the sales territory level.
- Manages assigned accounts within the territory, including the development of strategy, tactics and communication with the account contracts and with Atlas Air's regional and corporate contacts.
- Participates in Company training/education programs.
- Works as a team member and coordinates and interfaces with local station Terminal Services employees and corporate Customer Service employees to maximize revenue opportunities at the territory level.
- Provides market information to the Manager Sales and Customer Service, including pricing, market developments, industry marketing issues, forecasting and other information.
- Assists Manager Sales and Customer Service, in planning and developing the territory forecast.
- Manages, controls, measures and monitors all assigned territory expenses.
- Manages and completes the daily administrative responsibilities within the territory, including weekly preplans, weekly reports to the Manager Sales and Customer Service, expense reports, contract rates, account records, profiles and any other general administrative duties.
- Follows pricing policies and procedures as they relate to agreed upon spot rates.
- Creates an environment that encourages two-way communication by: Informing Manager Sales and Customer Service of unique or difficult situations; Providing ongoing support, assistance and information to Manager Sales and Customer Service, terminal operations, handlers and/or corporate office.

Qualifications
- Self-Starter
- College degree or equivalent work experience is preferred
- Demonstrates motivational skills.
- Utilizes knowledge of airline sales and air cargo industry.
- Understands cargo industry, pricing, rates and competition.
- Applies excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Applies excellent interpersonal skills.
- Utilizes analytical skills.
- Understands and adheres to company operating policies, as appropriate to sales.
- Demonstrates basic proficiency in word processing, spread sheet and data base management software programs.
- Two to four years' sales experience, preferably in air freight/transportation field.
- Proven track record in sales achievement, or must have the ability to professionally and successfully assert himself/herself in a positive, well-disciplined manner in the achievement of revenue objectives from assigned accounts/customers.
- Must have ability to organize and plan sales calls to achieve revenue objectives and have the ability to analyze customer needs/markets and must be able to close customers.
Salary Range: $60,500 - $81,500 Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset.
