SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Lead, Maintenance Services provides leadership and operational oversight for maintenance support activities across facilities. This role ensures that all maintenance work is performed safely, efficiently, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement in facilities maintenance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate proactive safety leadership to the Maintenance Support Services team.
  • Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the Maintenance Services execution team, leads by example to set and maintain a positive safety culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure competent labor availability to cover critical facilities maintenance activities.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to all maintenance disciplines as required, not just the Services team, including Instrument & Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, Specialist Vendors and Contractors upholding the One-Team approach
  • Stakeholder in the development, implementation, and ongoing support of the Integrated Activity Planning & Scheduling process for RGLNG
  • Provide input and continued review of Preventative & Corrective Maintenance Plans aligned to the equipment selected for this facility.
  • Lead the execution activities for all SCE, Statutory, and Federal Regulations and manage associated compliance processes including deferrals, backlog etc.
  • Accountable for the Maintenance Support Services execution activities of all breakdown, corrective and preventative maintenance in the facility (grounds, janitorial, HVAC, elevators, buildings)
  • Provide support to the leadership of the Turnaround Team prior and during Turnarounds
  • Lead site teams in the execution of the Major Maintenance of plant and unit shutdowns
  • Responsible to safely complete all planned activities on the locked schedule, maximizing tool time and minimizing cost & deferrals.
  • Stakeholder in the review of materials and parts optimization ensuring compliance with environmental requirements.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement, value adding programmes, and cost saving initiatives.
  • Provide coverage for the Maintenance Superintendent as required.
  • Deliver the required maintenance execution meetings, including HSSE meetings, pre-starts, work allocation tasks, toolboxes etc.
  • Attend execution Workfront's on a daily basis
  • Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to support on-site emergencies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Minimum 10 years of maintenance experience in LNG, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industries, with at least 5 years in a maintenance execution leadership role.
  • Proven track record leading Maintenance Support Services teams across multiple disciplines (building maintenance, civil, grounds, Janitorial, HVAC, elevators)
  • Strong understanding of maintenance compliance programs, including Safety Critical Elements (SCE), Statutory, and federal requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead safe work execution in a live operating environment.
  • Experience managing integrated maintenance schedules and coordinating across Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering functions.
  • Proficiency with CMMS systems (SAP or similar) and understanding of maintenance planning processes.
  • Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings (P&ID, Isometrics, GA).
  • Experience in applying MOC, FMEA/FMECA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Physically able to meet the role's demands, including field presence and ERT participation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Technical Trade School Degree/Diploma
  • Prior experience in an LNG export or large-scale energy infrastructure facility.
  • Leadership experience during plant Turnarounds or major maintenance shutdowns.
  • Background in contractor management and vendor performance oversight.
  • Experience developing and implementing lifting procedures and equipment management systems.
  • Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles and asset optimization strategies.
  • Demonstrated success driving cost-saving and value-adding maintenance initiatives.
  • Advanced knowledge of inspection techniques, materials management, and procurement processes.
  • Recognized qualification in leadership, project management, or maintenance management.
  • Active participation in Emergency Response Teams (ERT) or site safety committees.
Work Environment & Physical Demands (with or without reasonable accomodations)

  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, often under challenging weather conditions for extended periods.

  • Must be physically capable of moving throughout all areas of the facility and reaching designated muster point during emergency situations.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate in English - verbally, via radio, and by phone.
  • Regular exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including hot, cold, wet, humid, and windy environments.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted and push/pull with up to 50 pounds of force.
  • Required to grip objects with up to 50 pounds of force.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and balancing, including climbing stairs and ladders.
  • Regular reaching, bending, stooping, handling, and spinal twisting.
  • Use of hands, arms, and legs to lift, push, and pull machinery and mechanical components.

* Operates in a complex construction environment.
* Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
* Not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions.
* Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits.
* Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction.
* Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios.
