Position Summary
The U.S. Food Policy Evaluation Project team, housed in the Division of Healthy Policy and Administration at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Public Health (SPH), is accepting applications to fill up to 5 positions for hourly Research Associate II roles (4-6 month positions). The successful candidates will join a multi-disciplinary research team conducting evaluation studies of nutrition policies.

Duties & Responsibilities
Research:
- Prepare and mail study materials to incoming study participants.
- Communicate with assigned study participants and track progress within the study.
- Collect and process receipt data from participants and conduct quality checks, following up with participants when necessary.
- Conduct data coding using established research protocols.
- Conduct other tasks to support the research team including but not limited to conducting literature reviews, formatting documents, and preparing materials to support presentations.

Communication:
- Maintain detailed record of tasks and provide weekly project updates around timeline, deliverables, and challenges to supervisor.
- Maintain and process required paperwork.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in social science or related field required.
- A minimum of one year related research experience.
- Knowledge of research concepts, practices and procedures.


Preferred Qualifications


- Spanish language proficiency (bilingual)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Current CITI Training certification.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word and Excel).
- Proficient with software databases used for storage and reporting (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics).
- Experience working in research and evaluation, particularly with data collection and coding.
- Familiarity with nutrition and food policy and related health outcomes.
