Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Key Account Executive to lead and grow our business with Market Basket, a key regional grocery retailer. We are targeting someone located in Massachusetts. This role is responsible for managing the customer relationship, driving sales growth, executing strategic plans, and ensuring flawless retail execution across all categories.

Responsibilities



  • Partner with field teams to ensure in-store compliance, display execution, and shelf availability.
  • Monitor and report on retail conditions, pricing, and competitive activity.
  • Conduct Reset Shelf Work as Needed by Customer.
  • Lead collaborative forecasting and demand planning processes.
  • Manage budgets, trade spend, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Develop and execute annual sales plans, promotional calendars, and new item launches.
  • Identify growth opportunities through data analysis, shopper insights, and category trends.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Market Basket's buying and merchandising teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and long-term partnership.
  • Analyze POS and syndicated data (e.g., IRI, Nielsen) to track performance and identify opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on account performance, risks, and opportunities.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in sales, marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales experience required calling on large grocery retailers.
  • Strong understanding of retail dynamics, category management, and trade marketing.
  • 30% Travel Required with ability to do Store Level Retail Selling, and Occasional Shelf Reset work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook required
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in team in a fast-paced, dynamic, and fluid environment
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Experience calling on Market Basket is preferred but not required.
