United States, Massachusetts, Boston
77 Avenue Louis Pasteur (Show on map)
Nov 05, 2025
A postdoctoral research fellow position is available at Brigham and Women's Hospital/ Harvard Medical School, Boston. The laboratory's research is interested in understanding the role of non-coding RNAs (miRNAs/lncRNAs) and their signaling pathways/targets in a range of vascular disease states including atherosclerosis and ischemic injury in the heart and limb with a major focus in diabetes. The specific projects deal with understanding the mechanisms and functions of identified non-coding RNAs in cell types important to cardiovascular disease and diabetes such as endothelial cells, vascular smooth muscle cells, and leukocyte subsets. Studies will involve understanding specific aspects of non-coding RNAs and target gene function in vitro and in vivo using mouse knockout, knockdown, or overexpression studies, and translational assessment in human specimens.

Candidate must have a strong background in molecular and cellular biology, or vascular biology, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, be self-motivated, have demonstrated productivity, and ability to be independent while also working in a team environment. Experience in molecular biology and mice is strongly preferred.

Candidates must be able to make a 2-year commitment.

Degree Required: Ph.D. or M.D.

Interested candidates are asked to send curriculum vitae and name/contact information of 3 references to: Mark Feinberg, MD, Professor of Medicine, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, 77 Avenue Louis Pasteur, Boston, MA 02115; EMAIL to: mfeinberg@bwh.harvard.edu
