How You'll Perform the Role

The Forklift / Material Handler is responsible for safely bringing raw materials to the production floor and for taking finished products back to the warehouse or loading them onto transfer trailers. This position reports directly to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager and under the direction of the Production Supervisor. TRAINING WILL BE ON THE DAY SHIFT, FOR THE FIRST MONTH.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:



  • Perform daily forklift inspections.
  • Be aware of and follow all safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment, housekeeping, hazardous materials, etc.
  • Be able to interface with all departments concerning the timely distribution of materials to production and the movement of materials from production, such as all boxes, paper rolls, etc.
  • Must be able to load and unload trailers/trucks.
  • All paperwork must be prepared in a timely and accurate manner and turned into the shift supervisor at the end of the shift.
  • Load and put away product safely and efficiently.
  • Supply all necessary materials to all running lines for continuous production.
  • Remove regrinds from production areas as needed.
  • Remove cardboard and any other materials from production to the staging area after a changeover.
  • Operate Compactor, bailer, and shrink wrap machine.
  • Miscellaneous duties as directed by the department manager or supervisor.
  • Complete trailer transfer sheets for each trailer loaded accurately.



What We Need From You

  • Must be able to train during the day for the first month.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Previous experience is a plus
  • Forklift Certification is a plus
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
  • Satisfactory completion of training courses as determined by management
  • Ability to perform the job's essential functions with or without accommodation

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Shift Available: 2nd shift

Shift differential: $0.50 per hour shift differential for the 2nd shift only

Hours: 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Work schedule: Monday-Friday
